Who Can Use Import Duty Financing?
Import duty financing can be used by individuals who are importing their personal cars into the country or businesses especially car yards importing vehicles for sale into the country.
What is the minimum amount I can borrow?
Our minimum loan amount is Ksh 100,000 and a maximum of 4 million
How long does it take for me to get my duty cleared?
If all the requirements are met, it only takes 72 hours to have the funds disbursed.
How long is the repayment period?
We offer flexible loan repayment periods of 36 months.
What documents do i need to get import duty finance?
To get import duty financing you need to provide documents such as bill of lading, translated Japanese logbook (for imports from Japan), Jevic, National ID, KRA pin, 12-month Mpesa/ bank statements.
How Is Import Duty Calculated?
The following is the formula for calculating the fees: Your vehicle’s CRSP will be provided by KRA. The import duty is equal to 25% of the CRSP. Excise duty is equal to 20% of the CRSP plus import duty combined. VAT accounts for 16% of the CRSP plus import duty and excise duty. The IDF Fee accounts for 2.25% of the CRSP.
What Does It Cost To Ship A Car From Japan To Kenya?
From Japan to Kenya it would cost users approximately 30 and 60% of the car’s value. NOTE: this amount is not inclusive of import duty which is calculated separately.
